Competency Assessment and Development
The students are assessed on a continuous basis in terms of individual and group assignments, classroom participation, case presentations, quizzes, self-study, participation in management games and mid-term and term-end examinations. The examinations could be both open book and closed book. Students are assisted to develop their personal and managerial competencies in terms of their interests and aptitude
Examination system focuses on understanding of the concepts, theory and their practical application and the underlying skills of analysis and synthesis and shall be a continuous process. The evaluation of a student, in each term, would be in terms of classroom participation (includes assignments, presentations, viva-voce exam--30% marks), Mid-term evaluation (20% marks) and Term-end examination (50% marks). The maximum backlog allowed to a student in being promoted to the next trimester shall not be more than two (pass mark being 40%). The grading of students in terms of their performance would be: First Division with Distinction, First Division, Second Division and Pass Division.
